Growing disciples…
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:18-19
Our focus at West Valley is on winning and building mature followers of Jesus who serve Him in all of life.
…at home, at work and in our communities
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17
Each season we focus on growing as disciples in one of these three areas:
- Fall-Winter = life at home
- Winter-Spring = life at work
- Spring-Summer = life in the community
… through the Word, Prayer and Encouragement
“Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.” Ephesians 4:15.
God invites us to come each Sunday and be transformed as we hear his Word and respond in worship. Here are some other ways we seek to grow:
- Word – Kids Sunday School, Weekly Bible Studies, Quarterly Seminars, Annual Retreats
- Prayer – Sunday Morning Prayer, Monthly Prayer Services
- Encouragement – Growth Groups, Family Friday nights, Church lunches
