Jesus explains his mission for a second time. The disciples fail to understand but Jesus uses this as an opportunity to teach about the path of TRUE greatness.

Failures can present the greatest opportunities for success. As long as we understand that being a ‘successful’ disciple of Jesus means turning from proud self-reliance and depending on Him in prayer.

We pick back up in our series through the Gospel of Mark as we consider Jesus shocking revelation about his mission and call in Mark 8:31-9:1.
