Secure Enough to Suffer for Christ

Summary

Having encouraged the Colossians in their faith (1:1-14), and reminded them of the glory of Christ (1:15-23), Paul now goes on to write about himself – his ministry and his message? Why? Does he want to draw attention to himself and his great accomplishments? No – his aim is to draw attention to Christ – the only one worthy of the kind of strain and suffering he is experiencing.
