Grace Alone

Summary

Peter writes to a church that is both physically and emotionally dispersed and in genuine distress.  We are not altogether different.  The church today wrestles with a broken world that brings suffering and disappointment, isolation and fear – and we too ask, how can we experience hope and joy in the midst of the suffering?  Consider how the gospel enables us to experience a living hope, rooted in the past-present-future guaranteed grace of God, such that we can live with joy and suffering simultaneously … honestly.
