Summary

In his letter to the Colossians, Paul dispels the false idea that there is a secret truth hidden outside of the Gospel. At that time, false teachers insisted that Christians were missing out on secret knowledge. But Paul refutes them, declaring that if we have come to know Christ, we already have the secret: Jesus is the full treasure trove of God’s wisdom. He is the mystery hidden for ages but now revealed to us by God the Father.
