He Loved Them to the End

Summary

In our passage, we see Jesus humbling himself and washing his disciples’ feet. By this action, Jesus showed his disciples that, what was shocking and humiliating to everyone else, must become gloriously normal among Jesus’ followers. Followers of Jesus must endure mockery of the world, love their enemies, and speak the truth even when it disrupts polite society.
