Summary
God’s Servant will bring justice to the nations (Isaiah 42), reveal God to the world (49) and live a life of perfect obedience (50). We might expect people to welcome him with open arms, but in Isaiah 53 we find that he would met with confusion and opposition. However, that very opposition is the way he accomplishes his mission. There’s no way to understand Christmas until we understand the cross!
